Abstract

This research explores the role of social media in exacerbating political polarization among citizens. By analyzing survey data and social media interactions, the study reveals how online platforms can create echo chambers that reinforce existing beliefs. The author discusses the implications of these findings for democratic engagement and public discourse, suggesting that social media literacy is crucial for mitigating polarization. The article concludes with recommendations for fostering constructive dialogue across political divides in online spaces.
